Thanksgiving curse has been broken!!!

For the past several years my families thanksgivings have all ended is argument, disaster or just plain disappointment.
Two thanksgivings ago my sister wrecked her brand new car, needless to say we were thankful she wasn't hurt but that didnt make or thanksgiving good.
Family drama plagued us three years past, apparently we were invited to a small family reunion for thanksgiving.
and the years before that uh.... yeah no

This year it was all different!!
I woke up a bit ill from the night before;) but that was ok.
Mom, sister, dog and me went to a wildlife park and took a walk, we laughed and bonded.
then we watched movies while the turkey baked
then we all dressed up and feasted
No drama, no car accidents, no arguments

Perfect almost
Hope next year its just as good or better!
p.s I ate vegi sausage for thanksgiving

Our New President Elect

Well its finally here we have ourselves a new president elect. Its really no surprise that the candidate I voted for (Ralph Nader) did not win. He hardly got any votes actually.
It was also no surprise that McCain did not win either.
Its real typical too, when a crapy president does a well crapy job the opposite party is most likely to win the next years election.
Obama will be our next president.
He promises hope and change.

I hope that he will accomplish these task.
He does not have my blessing which means very little but just because he wasn't my choice for president doesn't make him less of my president.

I hope the best in the next four years.

butttt
if everything goes to shambles I can say i voted for the guy who no one knew about

Chillaxification

Chillaxification- Chilling out and relaxing at the same time.
I thought I made this word up, but no its on some urban dictionary.

But my philosophy for this word is unique hopefully.
We live in a stressed out and frustrated world. Our lives are made simpler and more convient thanks to modern technology but even that has made our lives more difficult. Now more then ever we do a million things at once. writing papers, doing hw, texting etccccc
everything has to be fast nothing is ever just plain and simple..

But i chose not to let this world overcome me. I just relax and do what needs to be done, im responsible dont think otherwise. But instead of speeding and stressing out i just go with the flow
I plan my days out so nothing seems out of place. I set time aside for myself and chill and relax
Chillaxing

Not everyone can do this i understand but its good for you and we all need to just Chillaxiify

Vegetarianism

Vegetarianism sucks.
I've been a vegetarian for over two years now. Let me tell you something its hard.
Temptation is everywhere and its way cheaper. There isnt a dollar menu at mcdonalds for vegetarians.

Theres more to this just not eating meat, no fish, lard, gelatin, powders, and broth.
Almost everything has meat in it, even soups(which i loved). I havent eaten gummy bears for two years now, honestly i dont remember how meat taste. And frankly the smell of it sometimes makes me gage. I became anemic for the first few months and lost weight, but dont worry im fine and over weight now.
Butttttttt
You gotta be a good vegetarian i learned this quickly taking my supplements eating healthy organic foods, eating vegetarian soy meats and i even began working out.
This food life style was a positive and very fulfilling(not wondering if the animals was in pain before becoming my dinner i awesome)
Buttttttt
like i said eating out is difficult especially fast food, fries and salad get tiring quick
eating vegi foods is costly too a box of vegi nuggets is about 4 to 5 dollars for 10 pieces versus a box 35 chicken nuggets  for the same amount. I know all the secret vegi menus and food places and the substitutions for food.
When im hungry and broke(like right now) thoughts of a dollar meal soundsss good

Butttttt
Really come on Ive been a vegetarian for 2 years im not gonna give that easily
Its a difficult life style for chubby college kid buts its worth it
I like to think i do my part for saving this planet(vegi diet has a lesser impact on earth)

Im hungry but strong, a salad is a friend indeed.

Faith in the elections.

First off im not trying to create controversy here, i just wanna state some simple and true facts.
The hot topic lately is prop 8, half say yes half say no. Ok got it.
Now this part goes out for my Christian Bothers and Sisters in God, what does Jesus say about gay marriage? Pretty much NO WAY JOSE!!
here is some proof for those who believe that the bible is the truth
Romans 1:26-27  “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.”
That simple.
So what i don't get is why sooo many christians are voting no on prop 8!!!!
Now we have those saying how intolerant "we" Christians are. Not true, we love our neighbor as ourselves its commanded by the bible.
We love the thief, but we don't say stealing is ok, we love the murderer but we don't say its ok to kill
So whats makes homosexuality and different?

Boggles my mind sometimes.

Now for president.. No comment its like voting for being stabbed or shot, both suck.

tattoos

Many people ask the same question with tattoos. Do they hurt?? The answer is very straight forward. YES!!! No pain no gain. Pain is half the experience of tattoos, if they didn't hurt everyone would have them then they would lose a lot of there appeal.
Through out the years the acceptance of tattoos, piercing or any other body modification has changed dramatically. The work force has been accepting and embracing tattoos now more then ever. Even the religious leaders have been spotted sporting entire arm sleeves.
So if anyone is seriously considering getting a tattoo try to follow these guide lines
First: Thing of what you really want its gonna be there forever.
Second: Ask your friends who have them, they would know way more about tattoos.
Third: Shop around for a tattoo shop( again ask friends who have tattoos.) Don't settle for any random shop!!!!
Fourth( and last i think): Be ready for the pain. It hurts but its bearable my sister didn't cry and she's a big cry baby.

Sweet Playlsit

Heres my song my playlist. For the longest time I limited myself to only metal deathmetal and hardcore.
But as I grew and matured so did my musical taste. Most of my playlist consist of folk and indie. Except for Alexisonfire(which is like screamo, i don't like screamo but i like this band) and The Beatles. I recommend any of these bands to you and I can almost guarantee you will enjoy these bands. CHECKEM OUT!!!!!

                                         Places

The place for which Im providing the soundtrack for is my hometown of Riverside, Ca

  1) This Could Be Anywhere In The World- Alexisonfire album Crisis 2006

From the very few opening words of the song it describes the hold my city of Riverside, Ca has on me like claws buried into my neck. The song feels like an anthem for the way the city just sucks the very energy out of me.

2) Here Comes the Sun- The Beatles album Abbey Road 1969

Southern California is nothing but sun especially Riverside. The rains were never certain but the coming of the sun was almost guaranteed, so this song just remains me of of sunny Riverside.

3) Coffee- Copeland album Beneath the Medicine Tree 2003

Regardless of the booming size of riverside my friends and I have done everything our time has to offer. So when the sun goes down we try our best to act like big city kids like those in the song. When nothing was left to do we stayed up all night and just drank coffee.

4) Dust in the Wind- Kansas album Point of No Return 1977

Riverside has never been a small town for me, as I grew I realized how small i was in this city. Just dust in the wind or another drop of water in the ocean in a city with over three hundred thousand I just feel like just another head in the crowd here.

5) Comin' Home- City Colour album Sometimes 2005

I was blessed with the incredible opportunity to travel the entire United States for nearly two months. I went to so many states, no matter how far i went nothing was ever like home. The song repeats the same verse through out the song Im comin home. Thats all i could say as i entered the state limits of California, no matter how much i resisted Riverside its home and i was glad to breath in the hot polluted air. It is home.
